Los Cabos Tourism Growth Update – May 2025 Report

The Tourism Observatory, managed by the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, has provided crucial information on the results through May 2025.

It is important to note that this type of data provides invaluable information for comparing the growth of a destination with others. Los Cabos’ air connectivity is experiencing a significant boom, especially at the beginning of 2025, thanks to the efforts of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca) and the airlines that have agreed to secure more frequencies to our destination.

There were 350,300 passengers registered at Los Cabos Airport, a 9.2% increase compared to April 2024.

Domestic passengers: 128,800, representing 36.8% of the total, growing 19.2% year-over-year. International passengers: 221,500 passengers, representing 63.2%, with a year-over-year growth of 4.1%. According to the data, Canadians maintained a positive trend, representing 11.3% of total passengers and with a cumulative increase of 11.4% in 2025.

Online accommodation (Airbnb or similar) saw significant growth, as available supply increased 7.1%, reaching 6,500 units. Average occupancy was 48%, 5 percentage points higher than in April 2024.

Hotel activity was at 75%, the same as in April 2024. The average daily rate reached USD 473, representing a 5% decrease compared to April 2024.

RevPAR was USD 435.5, equivalent to a 5% decrease compared to the same month last year.
